Auto transmission cooling line leaks

Featured Replies

Has anyone else seen a split in the transmission oil cooling lines running between the transmission and the radiator? This was a break in the metal line not the rubber connectors. I think we caught our problem before the transmission pumped all the fluid out.

Welcome to the board.

What model & year subie do you have? I haven't ever heard of that happening. Where in the hard line di it break? Down near the tranny or up along the frame rail?

It's a 99 Outback. The leak was along the frame rail. We have 2 95 Legacy's and a 95 SVX in our driveway too.

It split. Very weird. Probably a manufacturing defect. I can't find anything anywhere except for a recall on Ferrari that describes the same problem.

Probably just a fluke.
