Shaving parking lights on my legacy

I have a spare pair of fenders sitting in my garage that I have been thinking about shaving the parking light area on. The fenders I have now are rusted out at the bottom near the wheels so it looks like arse. Whats involved with pulling the old fenders? I remember having to sawzall the donors off the bumper cover but I didn't pay too much attention as to how I would have done it if I hadn't been trying to strip a car in one evening. (yes I bought the car off ebay)

 

Besides...If it doesn't look like something should go there then I can't get a ticket for it.

 

Anybody have any mods they would like to see done to a 1st gen leg? I am thinking of getting the body 100% straight (hail damage) and painting her WR blue pearl.
