I own a 95' 1.8L 2wd Impreza. Car runs great. I have recently been having problems with starting the car. The car turns over but will no fire. I believe that it is not getting fuel. I have replaced the fuel filter which only increased performance. I have taken it to a mechanic and he could not find any problems with it. (The problem happens randomly and didnt not occur when he had the car) I've listened to see if the fuel pump is running when the car wont start and it does.

 

Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be?

I would wonder about the temp sender. It is pretty cheap and is often at the bottom of a no start.

My mechanics ran a diagnostic and did not come up with any codes.

Try running a search on this board. There are quite a few things on occaisonal no starts. If it were mine that temp sender would be out of there.
