Ok went to a new jy and find a 93 ej22t Legacy 5sp and a 89 900 turbo saab. I would like to put the turbo in my 87 Brat with the intercooler for the saab. The guy set the price of the Legacy at 250 for "all you want" I know the trns will not work for me but I do know where a auto Legacy with a bad trans is cheap so put the trans in it. What eles should I grab off these two? Thanks Charlie

For $250 get the whole car! You could double your money on just that 5spd alone. And if the body is straight, there are other parts that Legacy owners would buy off you.

 

I say, if you have room for the Legacy at home, buy it and part it out.

get the whole motor,trans, and driveline from the legacy. pull the motor and have the yard man flip the car over. take the whole underneath! take some bolt cutters for the parking brake cables if you didnt undo them from inside the car.

 

take some help, too. one time we went to a yard and got the whole underside of a legacy and its motor, as well as a motro and trans from an xt, ad the rear end from a wagon, some axles, all in about 3 hours time. we were pressed for time so we took the legacy suspension off as one unit and dragged it with the truck outsude the gates, where we later broke it down and loaded it up

I wish I could take the whole car but he wont sell it I will likely chop the front off and take the rear diff........say what are the odds of it being a lsd? Anyway what do you guys think about the saab? There was a thread about saab boost controllers and intercoolers it was way over my head I need to read up on turbos. The Legacy wont have a rear LSD. LSD's only came on '91 Legacy Turbo's.

THe Saabs I/C will work great on that engine. If you cant take the whole car, the front end is just as valuable. If the trunk is in good condition, grab that and put it on ebay
