engine stand

Featured Replies

Sorry, I know I asked before but I lost the information. I want to buy an engine stand for an EA81 engine. I know there is a specific model but I forgot where to get it. Does anyone remember?

Great new board by the way!

Which is almost fancy too.

He recommended some inexpensive solutions in his book that I don't have here at work but maybe somebody else can shed light. I believe he built his out of wood like 2x6's and 2x4's on opposite sides of each other but the book described it better.

Or are you talking about a commercially made one?

Hey Shawn,

I was looking just to buy one. I looked through all my papers and I think I found it. I think Autozone has one for the EA-81 for around $50. Sounds like an OK deal.

Any engine stand will work. The four "fingers" that bolt to the back of the block will adjust to fir an EA-81.

That's great... that really opens up my options. Thanks Russ.

Hey there-

I recently got one from Kragen for about $60-70 for my EA81T project/storage. It's good to 1500lbs and has 4 fingers.

However, I could only use three fingers because of the configuration and seems to be doing fine: solid & rotates well and has engine hasn't dumped on the floor and rolls around nicely......

just my 2 cents, LOL
