Help needed. 98 forester just bought it. Runs hot, flushed radiater new antifrieze, after a run locally the plastic reservoir gets filled up and suprts out coolant. Could there be a headgasket problem? also changed the thermostat. Good heat coming from the vents. Anyone have the same problem, need a solution. Thanks

defo sounds like head gasket issue.

 

have it sniffed for hydra-carbons in the coolant

 

best get it checked out before dumping more $ in it....

Have it sniffed for exhaust smell in the coolant. Was it overheating before or after you did any work to it?

Did you try burping the cooling system? If not do a search on the board for burping...trust me.

 

Try that first then get back to us.
