Hey. New poster here. I've got two Subies. Love 'em both, but they're slowly going downhill. The terrain I live in demands the Subie advantage though, so I'm keeping 'em in the family. The most serious issue I've got is with our 97 Impreza OUtback Sport. The engine was replaced after 130k because of a freak rod sieze. We got a new engine with that with only 3k on it. Cool! Thing is, we shoulda gotten a tranny w/it, bacause the old one(manual) is now on the fritz. I've got 1,2,3,5,R, and 3 is fading quickly. It won't even stay in 4th, so the car has been relegated to town errands. I've been looking for a tranny for a while now, looking from Madison to Mpls, but can't find a thing. Would any one else out there have any leads for me to follow up on? FWIW, I'm located a bit south of LaCrosse WI.
