Outdoor air temperature gauge doesn't work

Featured Replies

I have a 1998 Forester with the gauge pack on the dash board. Suddenly the temperature display is stuck on 48 degrees regardless of actual temperature. Can someone tell me where the actual temperature sensor is located and has anyone ever experienced this problem

Thank you for any assistance.

On the OutBacks it's behind the front bumper just off center, and ahead of the radiator frame. I can see it from above. Sounds like the wire disconnected from the sensor.

Our just-bought 2008 Forester's inside temp display reads 30 degrees low. Glad I'm not the only one.
