Stupid Headlight Problem! Not bulb.

Featured Replies

Hi all!

So I thought my low beam on my 1997 Legacy GT was dead. Then I hit another frost heavy bump, then the low beam worked again! So like what's up with this? Can't be the bulb....it works sometimes! It didn't work the other day, I was taking fresh snow off my car with one of those scraper/broom things. I had my low beams on, the drivers low was out again....so I gave it a tap...really a TAP! It came back on!!! What gives??? Simple stupid bad connection....rust?? How can I fix this ???

Many, Many thanks, SubeeTed!!

i had similar prob with my legacys corner light, ended up the one of the wires at the harness was just about cut(who knows how that happened):-\ simply cleaned up the ends of the wires and soldered them back together/taped it up and works just fine.

your prob could be the same type as i had.also check for any corrision in the plug.

It could be the filament is broken, and occasionally the ends of the wire bounce against each other and weld together for awhile.
