Hi there Have brought a 83 brumby about two mths ago to do up it has rust in the most comon places and the engine has a bad oil leak some where i think by the look of it its coming crank shaft or oil filter mount . Was wanting to Know if i have to split it is there any stock prformance cam that i could put in it .

Another New Zealander?

The brat engines have a different cam grind from the others, it is tuned for max torque at lower revs. I don't think putting a non brat one in will make too much difference. You could just get your one ground to what you want.
