I just sent my brat to the shop for a quick 175,000 mile check.

 

They said the motor mounts were loose, but did nothing to tighten them.

 

This truck has always jerked between gears (unless you time it exactly right or overload on gas); and anytime you let off the gas without hitting the clutch.

 

When they told me the motor mounts were loose, I kinda put two and two together; and I believe they are related.

 

Anyone have any info on this?

 

I saw a post earlier in the week that was similar, but I could not get authenticated on time to add to it.

 

Even if they are not related can someone tell me how to tighten or replace my motor mounts. I need some details.

take a look at the tranny mounds. does the shifter move around when it jerks?
