DavidTuttle
Hi, I have a 1994 legacy gt auto estate, imported into the UK from Japan, not sure what model you call it in the USA. It is the twin turbo version. I am hoping that people over there also import them or that they were an official model. Because it is a "grey import", getting faults diagnosed is a real problem. I am getting 6 short 6 long 1 long 2 short flashes when checking the codes but no-one seems to be able to tell me what this means. When the check engine light comes on it starts bogging down and will not accelerate. I pull over, switch the ignition off then on again and it runs perfectly, sometimes for the rest of the day. It always starts with no trouble. Any advice would be most appreciated, Cheers Dave
Legacy777
Hey Dave, Unfortunately, we don't get the twin turbo models in the states. So I'm not sure how much good we'll be. Try clearing the codes, pull the EGI/TCU fuse for 30 min. Drive the car, and then check the codes again, once the light goes on and you have problems. May want to also post over on www.bbs.legacycentral.org
DavidTuttle
Hi, thanks for replying. I was hoping that there might be a few "grey" imports out there. We do not get the twin turbos through Subaru but they are imported by small companies and individuals. I will try your suggestions Cheers Dave Hey Dave, Unfortunately, we don't get the twin turbo models in the states. So I'm not sure how much good we'll be.
