anyone have CEL issues? with no codes stored?

Featured Replies

so the other day, I was idleing in a parking lot.. and randomly the CEL comes on , and the engine starts running real lopey/rough... so i turned off the car, and waited... then started it up again and it was fine... so I took it to work the next day and scanned it with the select monitor, and it said there were no stored codes at all!

has anyone had an ECU die on them to where it still operates the car, but doesnt store codes?

You should be able to check the codes yourself. I'm pretty sure the 94 impreza was still OBD1. The procedure should be the same as the legacy, and instructions are on my site.

As for not leaving codes....yeah I've heard of it happening.....but I'd suggest checking the codes yourself.
