Pod filter on a brumby

I wnt to put a pod filter on my 92 brumbies N/A EA 81 and im not sure how to go about it, i've tlked to a few shops here in oz but they all say it cant be done due to the type of carb on it, i was woundering if i could put the intake of the EA82 turbo on it and just bypass where the turbo would go. any help would be appreciated.
