Any good write ups on changing a front wheel bearing on a 98 Outback?

Featured Replies

Iam going to change the front drivers side wheel bearing in a 98 outback this sunday and iam wondering if there is any good write ups on how to do it, or any personal tricks or expericance to get it done? Thanks.

I know someone on here has changed the wheel bearings on a outback, or legacy for that matter.

I did a search and found a couple relevant threads, but I don't know how to reference or link them to here. The gist of it is you need a hub tamer or similar tool to change out the bearing in place, or you can pull the hub out of the car and have a machine shop press them in
