Blower Fan On 96 Legacy Outback - Dead

Featured Replies

The fan does not work on any speed. Until today, it was cutting out and then came back after a few seconds. Nothing now.

I have looked at some other postings and some refer that on speed # 4, even if the resistor was defective, fan would work. Mine does not.

Fuses are OK and I do get a clicking sound in driver side dash area when switch goes from 0 to 1 or from 1 to 0.

So given the above even though speed four doesn't work could it be the resistor and if not any thoughts about what I might check to narrow solutions?

Thanks Much
