2000 Impreza A/C Recharging

Featured Replies

my girlfriend recently bought a 2000 impreza wagon. the a/c blows cool, but it's not very cold. i'm thinking of checking to see if it needs a recharge. i did a search, but couldn't find anything particular. is there any type of write up or diy about how to recharge the a/c system. i'm not familiar with subaru engine bays as i'm a VW guy. it may be obvious, but, just in case, can anybody tell me where the low pressure valve is so i don't spend all evening searching for it. thanks in advance.

The low pressure valve should be on the ac line coming around the back of the firewall.

You should be able to buy one of those recharge cans and check the pressure the system is making, and add anything if needed.
