I'm stationed in Iceland and I bought a used 2000 Forester when I got here last August. The front pads and rotors need replacing. Parts are really expensive in the Icelandic part stores. I was wondering if the brake parts were the same in a U.S. 2.5L Forester as they are in a European spec 2.0L Forester? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try the internet looking for a Bendix, etc. part number for each of the two vehicles. See if they match.

My guess would be that they are the same. Good luck.
