If you're interested, or know a good place let me know. I fixed the car.... now it's time to break it again.

i've been looking for a place to wheel too,but for me it'd have to be easy going atleast till i do the strut swap.

back when i had my 86 gl wagon,i use to go up to(for me) clough state park.located in weare N.H. alot of dirt bike an atv trails.i use to have fun there.it's been awhile since i've been there,so i'm not sure how the trails are now.

think maybe i'll take a ride up there to see, will come back an let you know.

as it turns out they closed off some of the wider trails,of what i saw when i went up there the other day the only trails open are only wide enough for dirtbikes(unless you don't mind scraping branches along your paint)

did manage to get some mud on my subie though

I was playing around w/ topo usa the other day, trying to find a shorter way to one of my friend's houses, because i was driving my big ol' truck (8mpg! :slobber: ) and it told me to go on these grey dashed lines.. well.. i figured if it told me to go on the grey dashed lines, they must be roads.. right? well i was wrong, and i sure am glad that thing had 4lo and diff lockers, because all were needed. This trip involved driving over a 8" diameter tree, fording a river, and small 'ponds' created by all the freaking rain we've gotten.

I THINK a subaru could get through it, but more lift that i have may be required. Although i never did bottom out the ol' 77 Scottsdale :brow:.

Subie94, if you want to get together and try to romp through these trails up here let me know.

My nephew knows lots of "trails" in the New Ipswich area... it'll be by invitation only. I'll get in touch with him and get the info... BTW he's a Jeep kinda guy.

Last time I came down route 10 from Newport I noticed dozens of logging roads - south of Goshen, north of Keene. Shouldn't take you that long to scope it out. Let me know if you find anything.

I also remember a road out past King Ridge. Who knows if it's still there - I'm going back about 15 years here. You go past King Ridge, and just stay to the left. There was a trail that went up the back flank of the ridge, and there was a massive old estate up there. The estate was abandoned, and the area seemed littered with bike trails. Some may have been big enough for a car.

Of course, there's great stuff around Danbury and Grantham, but it's probably private.

I would get in touch with 91Loyale on the board he's got tons of trails around him and its right next door to New Ipswich so you could stop in there too.

Plus maybe you could motivate him to get his wagon moving.

There are a few good trails in and around greenville and mason. The one i like involves a river crossing off of route 31 and the power lines.(a pretty intricate system of trails exists around the power lines and can be very gnarly in some places.) 91loyale can give you the low down i suspect!

Wherever you go take pictures please.... i miss new hampshire, for about two minutes here and there...

The place in weare is really a dirtbike place isnt it not even good for quads?

Also you might get in touch with a local jeep club i have seen caravans of jeeps on trails and you could show em a few things one can do with a subaru.
