Time to replace suspension?

I've had my car a little over 5mo, stuck almost 20k on it (no joke) I live in downtown seattle near a bunch of pebble stone roads and my commute includes bumpy, and at some parts rough road daily. When I first got it the car was quiet. Now every day coming home sounds horrible. It even feels like the suspension's gotten a bit softer. I'm curious to know if a wrx suspension will fit (or what parts will) Did my eyes lie when I seen leaf springs in the back?? Anyways I know it's mostly the front springs making the most noise but I do want to upgrade the suspension a bit, and since they're starting to get irritating I think I'm gonna start collecting parts now so once I have everything I can put it all in. So any recommendations? I'm not trying to go brand new, I'm broke. I dont mind a 1-2" drop but nothing more, my car sits low enough to the ground stock. That and I am planning upgrading the brakes as soon as the car that has the rims I want (its sitting in a junkyard in the holding pen) gets moved since my current wheels wont clear them.
