May 27, 200520 yr Hello all, I'm new to board and just bought an 88 Justy. Took it in to the smog station today and failed with too high a NOx reading >__< So I check the Mitchell, regap the plugs to spec (were at .032, went to .041, recommends .039-.043) and go to check the timing but I can't find the timing window... by the way, Mitchell's is suck for diagrams. Anyone know where it's at on this little 3cylinder? Such a small engine, should be easy to find, right? huh. Thanks in advance, Sergio Pomona, CA 88 Subaru Justy GL/RS (to be the new daily driver) 86 Shelby GLHS #488 (the fast car)
May 27, 200520 yr According to Chilton's (just as sucky), the timing marks are located at the "front" of the engine on the crankshaft pulley.
May 27, 200520 yr Author Alright, thanks for the speedy reply, I just checked and saw them. But, they are not marked for the degree's that they correspond to. Does your Chilton's have any info on what mark is what degree?
