driving this morning, no faster than 30mph, and my trans locks up.. with a series of lound bangs. i try shifting to neutral to push it, and neutral is now reverse! so what do you think? All fluid levels are fine.. in park, i get park, in R I get reverse, in N I get reverse, in D 3 2 1 I get nothing, wil not move with the eingine running , no with the engine off it will roll. Any ideas beyond the tranny is SHOT?

It sounds like a problem with the shift linkage, if N = R, D =N. Do you have lights on the dash telling you what gear the transmission's computer thinks you've selected? Either way, I'd inspect the linkage.

The gear indicator lights work and match up to my shifter location, but I'll check the linkage.
