allright subaru heads, heres what happened.........car was running great, then i hooked up the alternator....car starts then dies after a few seconds....i unhooked it....starts fine and runs good again...i recheck the alternator and hook back up same problem starts then dies.....sooo i unhook it again and this time the problem persists, it will start and idle for 10s or so, if you hit the gas in that time it wont rev just bogs and dies right away????? any ideas, maybe the ecu bit the dust

problem solved, wen i was hooking up the alt. i must have shorted a connection in the maf. the computer never threw a code for it but thats what it was!!
