June 23, 200520 yr I have a 98 forester S and Im not sure how the door locks are supposed to work. It has power locks but no keyless entry. Are all the doors supposed to unlock when the drivers side door is unlocked. Its not doing that and I thought that would be part of the power lock system. My moms 96 Legacy works that way so I know that it is something subaru has done in the past. Is it dificult and expensive to set a car up with keyless entry that didnt have it from the factory?

Some cars will unlock all the doors if you turn your key twice- I have no idea if your car does that. TO get keyless entry installed is no big deal, I think it's between $100-150 at your local shop.
June 23, 200520 yr Author I just tried the turning the key twice thing, didnt work. But thanks for the sugestion. Any other ideas.

June 23, 200520 yr Author I just looked through the owners manual and it didnt say anything about all the doors locking from the key. I think that the only way to do it is by the switch on the inside. Poor design in my opinion. I like all the doors unlocking from the key.
