hi guys

i have a forester, year 1999, with 1994cc engine (EJ20) which was planted in the car 2 years ago.

this engine was imported "used" from japan. it is atmospheric, but has 4 camshafts (as the "turbo") and 2 stage suction manifoled, and was sold in japan only in legacys.

all i have is the engine's nunber (058248).

how can i get this engine's data?

this is the number that is stamped on the block and written in the license.

What data are you looking for? It should have 150 horsepower, running high octane.

i was told by the mechanic who ordered that engine (used) from japan that it has 175hp and 27kgm.

a little hard to believe...
