How difficutl is it to replace the rear brake pads on a 99 Forrester. I replaced the front myself, but I am concerned about the emergency brake cable in the back. Does this pose a huge problem???

99S had rear disk/pads. Very simple. You don't go near the parking brake at all for simple pad replacement. See attached .pdf files

PDF worked for me...

Right click on them, then download (save) them. Use Acrobat to open them. If you open them in a message, the message defaults to a text editor instead of acrobat.
