exhaust question

Featured Replies

ok, i have an 86 gl-10 turbo wagon.. i need to replace the mid section of pipe. this has the catalytic convertor attached to it...

from what i can tell, my exhaust bolts together in 3 pieces..

what i was wondering is, will the mid section off another turbo soob fit , if it was off an XT or RX for example.. were the ehxaust systems the same?

I really need to figure this out since the car is due for inspection next month. if i keep rackin my head over this i might end up lookin like this banana :dead:

from the ypipe/downpipe back, the exhausts will bolt the same. the only difference is 2wd and 4wd, as the 2wd pipes are closer to the trans tunnel, and will rub agsinst the drivedhaft near the gear lever.

the back part(from the flange to the muffler) will clear a 4wd axle

yeah, subarus are like legos. i know from what i have tried.

you can use the mid pipe of ANY 2wd soob, stick or auto, wagon, sedan, or 3door!

you can also use a ANY 4wd pipe on a 2wd, but not the other way around
