Car turns over but doesn't start , engine light comes on , after car sits a couple of minutes the engine starts. Engine light goes off after couple of days. If anyone knows what is causing this please let me know . Thank you for any help you can give.

Get somebody with an ODBII scanner to pull the code. Autozone for free, lots of shops for a fee or free, or buy a scanner from a parts store from 60-200 bux. or more depending on the features you want. Diagnose from there or return with the code for help.
