So I get a call from my wife...my beloved 90 Legacy wagon with 220k just died on her. I get off work and check it out (it was left at a gas station...nothing noticeable, not fouled, all wires connected, etc). DAMN!!! I push it across the steet to Ron's Automotive...who though not cheap is very well respected and gets the highest AAA rating. Turns out it was my fuel pump...$394!!! GACK!!! I couldn't find one with greater then a year warranty for less in a hurry so I went with it. The install wasn't bad though...for diagnosis, pump, install $490. When I asked what else the diag turned up the worst thing they came up with is "coolant flush". If that's the worst you can say about a car w/220K on it, you must be doing pretty good!! My car is ugly, faded, scratched, dented and KICKS A$$!
