August 24, 200520 yr I'm hearing a clicking from my front wheels @ various speeds. When I apply brakes the noise goes away. I just had my front brakes done by Firestone, about 3K miles ago. CV boots are in good shape. Have 140K miles. The clicking varies according to my speed. When I'm going 60mph, the noise goes away. It sounds like the noise is only coming from the passenger side front. Any ideas?

First thing to check: is the decorative wheel center cap (that says "Subaru" on it) secure in the center of the wheel?
August 24, 200520 yr I had something like this, it was a loose brake pad that was missing a shim IIRC. Dealership couldn't figure it out, wanted to turn my rotors for big $$$ (they didn't need to be turned), local brake shop fixed it for $20. Steve

I went back to Firestone & they installed, what they called a, Brake installation kit. No More Noise!
