I can't believe mp3-cd capability isn't a part of all stock stereos yet. Are there any mods to get something like a phatnoise in or something? What about replacing the stock stereo in an 05 or 06? Anyone done that yet? We just purchased an 06 Forester. We went to Wal-Mart and bought a cheapo fm modulator (plugs into the factory antenna). I tapped into the wires behind "cig lighter" for the power source. It works pretty good. Need to turn volume up really high on the radio, but it works really good for what it is, and now we can once again travel with the I-Pod. I was perplexed that Subaru does not have inputs on their radios yet, but I e-mailed Subaru with this question and they did respond in one day. The environmental and audio units share electronics somehow. There has been a couple of threads on it already in this forum. Let us know if you find a solution. Thanks!
