August 31, 200520 yr Hello, I own a Subaru Legacy 4WD 1993, the automatic transmission ( TZ102ZR2aa-MM) has malfunctioned so I replaced it for a second hand gear including the frontwheel differntial, however I´m not sure what model (TZ102ZSAAAA-C3) is. Now whenever I speed the accelerator I can feel the front wheels skidding. Is it posible that the relation between front and back wheels is different? Has anybody information about the relation gear of the two automatic transmisiion I mentioned? Thanks!!!
August 31, 200520 yr It's very possible the front and rear diff ratios are different. If you continue to drive it, you're going to kill the transmission again. You should be able to put a fuse in the FWD fuse holder next to the passenger side strut tower (on a left hand drive car). This will temporarily disable the AWD. Do you know what year car the new transmission came out of?

September 1, 200520 yr You may want to check on www.bbs.legacycentral.org I think someone was asking for a transmission decoder from that number.....and I don't recall it was answered or not.
