The plastic side tank on the rdiator split so i had it replaced and the rad flushed but the car is still overheated has anyone got an idea why this is happening??? Legacy777 Posted September 13, 2005 Share Posted September 13, 2005 It sounds like the system wasn't probably bled of all the air. Is your model normally aspirated or turbo'd? The normally aspirated radiators have a bleed screw on your driver's side of the radiator to allow air to escape. I would start there. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Worst case scenario: head gasket leak (a Subaru issue). Leaking air would push coolant into reservoir, & spot overheating would make temp gauge erratic.
