2002 outback trailer connector

Featured Replies

I have just installed a trailer hitch on my 20020 outback wagon but I can't find the trailer electrical connector. The converter I purchased said it should be behind the driver side tail light access panel. The converter has a connector with six wires going into the converter and four out. Any help would be appreciated.

What a wonderful sight. I put in the message and the Thread gave me several related messages. One was exactly what I needed. All the information said the connector is on the Driver side, that may be correct for cars with the stearing wheel on the right but I am in the good old USA where the stearing wheel in on the left. In the USA the connector is hidden on the pasenger side by the wheel well. You need to remove the spare tire cover and the right side floor cover. There it is exactly where one of the messages said it would be. Thank you very much.
