vick
How do I check the air bypass valve, pulled the hose (coming from under the air duct between the turbo and the intake to the resonater) off at the resonater and at idle it was blowing air like crazy, is this normal? The valve I am referring to is listed in the parts manual as #14471 AAQQ VLV AY-AIR BYPASS. Thanks.
Legacy777
What you're describing is normal. If you want to test the valve, remove it, and try and blow through the valve. You shouldn't be able to. If you use a hand held vacuum pump, you should be able to open the valve and will be able to blow through it.

I will check it, noticed that the little spring clip isn't on the intake hose where it attaches to the bypass. Great site. Thanks.
