Tsullappliance
I would like to thank all the people who responded to my thread. All of the info was found to be useful. I changed the plugs and pcv valve and cleaned up the contacts on the cap and rotor. It still failed for CO. I told the inspector to do what was needed to pass. He eventually got it through by adjusting the carb but he did say the carb should be rebuilt. It's brand new! When I drove the Soob away it ran like crap. Upon further inspection at home I found the timing retarded and vacuum hoses off. I timed her and replaced the hoses; she runs like brand new. This is an '87 GL with a E82 engine. I did find that there is a problem with non Soob PCV valves. It's best to go OEM on this minor part. Thanks to the person who brought that to my attention. I also found a first edition HTKY Soob Alive at a yard sale. If anyone could use some info out of it please let me know. Thanks again to all.
