November 24, 200520 yr Hey. Concerning my 83' 1300DL, I'm curious about the costs of certain fixes it requires: - Bodywork : Two holes - one app. the size of a fist at the root, just above the water channel/scoops. The second is about 2.5 inch in diameter located just above the fuel tank cover and a bit forward. Rust in almost every surface of the car especially at the steps, i mean where the doors close. And the doors broke into two pieces at the welds because of rust. New right side wing + right side lamp assembly(main right lamp + right side turn markers) - Electric : New alternator - A/C assembly + installation - Heating - new hoses from the water pump and the return hose to the water tunnel of the engine. - Engine tuning, mostly carb problems with mixture. - Roof - The old roof vinyl has ruptured all over the saloon roof revealing the foam. I just need a cost assessment, no need for precise prices (I live in Israel so the prices will vary anyway). Thanks for your help. Best weekend. Daniel Tourchin.
November 25, 200520 yr Daniel, Most of what you list consists primarily of labor costs. The body work is almost entirely labor, the assembly and installation of your AC is entirely labor (except refrigerant costs), and if you're not doing the work yourself, the tuning and water hoses will mostly be labor. So the price is going to be very dependent on what labor costs in your area. For reference you can go to http://www.autozone.com to see what prices are in the US. Good luck. Shalom David
