Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me what size is the largest tires I can put on my 91 turbo legacy sedan? (Has 15" wheels.)

Are you looking for a size that will raise ground clearance, or just want a taller tire?

May want to paruse www.bbs.legacycentral.org as well.

Hi Josh, thank you for your reply. I am wanting to raise the ground clearance a bit. I got high centered in the snow a couple of times last winter, and since the car needs struts and tires I thought I might make it more off road worthy. I wonder if there are taller struts that i may use as well.

Also after my last posting, 1 lifter started ticking real loud. Any idea what i can do about that?

I'll check out legacycentral now, thank you for the suggestion.

Some of the first gen legacy guys have put complete outback struts/springs on their legacy to raise it slightly.

Regarding the lifter....have you recently changed your oil? You could try running some seafoam in your oil to try and dislodge any junk that got stuck in the lifter.

Thank you for your info, Josh. I apologize for my slow responses; I only get online about once a month because I live in a remote area.

As for the lifter, I did change my oil -- it didn't help. I removed, cleaned and reinstalled the lifter and after running it for an hour or so it quieted down.

I checked out the website a bit (thanks for ref) -- nice car!

Joel
