every time i remove the oil fill cap on my 86 ea82 xt turbo the idle drops to bout 500 rpm or less, and there is alot of air bein pushed up, what would cause this?.

Not sure. I'd check the PCV first.

 

ditto. It's also only about a $9 dealer part, so it may not be bad to replace either. When you get it out and shake it, it should make a rattling sound. I'd also take all the PCV hoses off and make sure they aren't blocked up.
