5 lug swap no good for 06 subaru wheels

Featured Replies

ok i was at my buddys shop and he showed me a wheel on a new subaru 06 and it was 114.? so this means we cant run the 06+ wheels on our old 5 lug swaped cars,,,

can anybody confirm this.....

the new stis have 5 x 114.3, i think the 2.5 rs still have the 5 x 100 though. i think it was in 04 when the sti started to have the 5 x 114.3 due to torque problems or something like that. there are still some good wheels out there, none with really good offset that i've seen, but you can stack wheel spacers. :brow:

To the best of my knowledge only the 2006 STI and B9 Tribeca are using the 5 X 114.3 lug pattern. I'm certain all Imps and Bajas are still 5 X 100 and pretty sure the rest are the older style too.

The SVX's and 05-06 STi's have the 5 X 114.3 wheels. The 04 STi's had the 5 X 100, with all other new-gen Soobies. They made up the reason that there were more wheel options for the 5 X 114.3 than the 5 X 100, so that's why they switched. Or so I've heard. Dumb huh?
