Need advice on changing spark plugs on 2002 Outback 6 cylinder.

Featured Replies

Can anybody offer advice on how to best go about changing the spark plugs on my 2002 6 cylinder Outback? Does the engine need to be moved and if so, how can I best go about doing this.

thanks

Sorry you have not gotten more replies but this car and engine is so new that few of us have worked on them. Perhaps one of the folks who work at a Subie shop will have some advice later.

just went out and looked at my 06 outback 3.0r wagon trying to find the plugs. I can see the top of the unit that fits on the plugs. Looks like they would be a tight fit. Manual says "removing plugs may be difficult, consult your dealer". That looks like an accurate statement.

Just makes me want to try it more!

Probably doable but it is gonna be real tight.

let us know.
