dreedraffs
I have a 2000 Impreza brighton with basic brakes. I had discs and pads changed not so long ago because of a caliper that jammed. A friend of mine who has a 1999 TS (with the same braking system) was asking me about a front disc hotter than the other. Is there any specific problem with the front calipers on Imprezas? I know the rear caliper for rear discs equipped cars have problem with the hand brake, but I never heard anything about the front calipers. Any input is welcome. Setright
No problems "as such". However, any car that is left standing for days on end in salted winter climates will have a tendency to freeze calipers.
Subie Gal
i dunno about that... i have a 2001 RS well maintained... and one caliper that sticks no salt on the roads here. the car is garaged every night. could be an impreza "problem" then again, my car does have 106k miles. I did get good life out of the OE brakes. regardless, not an issue to me as I plan on swapping the calipers for 4pots soon.... Jamie
