Hi there, can any one help me, I have a 96 legacy outback and the Automatic transmission is not working. I can downshift to 1 and 2 and they work fine. When in D: 1 and 2 work but not 3, 4.

and reverse does not work at all.

 

Any clues???

 

Milage is 127,000

Sounds like your transmission is on its way out.... Not sure exactly what the problem is, but the entire thing will probably have to be taken apart to fix it.
