what happens when the oil pump goes. what kind of noise it makes. my brat when it is runnin the oil lite stays on and wont go off and make bangin noise on the left front piston but drinks no oil ,does not smoke,nor is there any water in the oil,and there no oil in the the water neither.

Is it more of a ticking or a knocking?

 

The ticking is usually ok, but if your oil light is on, that worries me a bit, make sure that the wire to your oil sending unit is connected and the screw is tight.
