fuel banks

Featured Replies

i ran our Genisis on my legacy today and it said that fuel bank 1 was open/closed and that fuel bank 2 was disabled.

what am i not understanding here.. i don't like the word "disabled"

Subaru's only use bank 1. Bank 2 would be for a V6 or V8 with a Catalytic converter and front and rear oxygen sensor on each side.

Subaru's have the converter and Oxygen sensors after the Y pipe, hence only 1 bank of sensors.

Scanners are set up for generic vehicles. As an example, there may be a MAP sensor you don't have a reading on because you have a MAF, or vice versa.

gotcha. that's kinda like a "smack-me-in-the-head-for-being-stupid" kinda thing.
