03 Forester taillight problems

Featured Replies

Hello everybody! My neigbor just bought a 2003 Forester. He has had it since Saturday, and he just noticed that none of the bulbs on the left rear light work. I just sold him some repalcement bulbs to try, but since all of them dont light, I suspect it's something more. Has anyone encountered this problem before? Thanks for any input, Kurt

If it's the stop, tail, and turn signals, they probably share a common ground coming off the tail light assembly. The wire should be black, the other 3 being the 12 volts for the different lamps.

You can run a wire from the chassis and connect it to the black wire contact in the plug to see if that fixes it, unless you have a meter to make things real easy.
