steering wheel off steering shaft?

Featured Replies

ok, well im tring to change my mutiple function switch, and i have to take off the steering wheel to do so. The thing is, it wont move, at all! the steering wheel wont come of the shaft... oh, and yeah i took of the nut holding it to the shaft... What would you do if you where in a situation like this?

Many thanks!

It's a press fit. You need to go to the auto parts store and get a steering wheel puller. It uses two bolts to bolt onto the wheel hub and the center goes onto the end of the steering shaft. When you tighten the center bolt, it pops the wheel off.You can buy one or rent one.
