My baby starting backfiring something UGLY tonight on my way home from work. She had been parked for about 3 days - then got a bath and engine wash yesterday. This morning, she seemed fine, but tonight, not so good. Now she's backfiring (on acceleration) and seems like she has no power. At idle, she seems like she surges a little, then feels like she's gonna stall out. :banghead: I've scoured "backfire" threads, but each seems to have a different fix.

 

My little monster is a 93 Impreza AWD Wagon A/T. I bought her with 198K, and she has 206K on her now. She's been great until now..any help would be great, thanx! :confused:

I don't think so -- ran fine in the morning, didn't start having problems until later in the day, after work.
