1988 GL won't turn over...

Featured Replies

It's an '88 GL wagon, 2wd fuel injected:

I drove to the parts store and bought a distributor cap, drove home, replaced cap and now the car won't turn over. All I get is what sounds like the fuel pump pumping. Weird. I've tried boosting it already, thats not the problem. Any ideas? I had to move the starter wire a bit and it may have been brittle and broke, I'm going to check that now, any ideas are greatly appreciated!!

There a small wire connected to the starter toward the back of it which comes from the ignition to engage the starter. You might want to see if you knocked that off. Thats what it sounds like anyways.
