I'm looking for instructions for roof rack installation/maintenance on the above wagon. I got a factory rack from a junkyardand want to install it on a rackless vehicle.

You should consider an aftermarket rack. Its easily removed, stronger, and comes with a huge range of accessories that you can attach to it. Brands like:

 

Rocky Mounts

Thule

Yakima

Saris

 

All of these companies last I checked sold a Gutter mount type roof rack.
